Students will be able to: Describe basic spectral methods suitable for elemental, molecular and phase analysis of pharmaceuticals, to explain their principles, typical instrumentation and data outputs. Assess the suitability of individual techniques considering qualitative and quantitative analysis, the state of samples and the pharmaceutical formulation. Use of both spectral libraries for identification of pharmaceutical components and simple chemometric models for quantitative description of multicomponent mixtures. |
