The aim of the course is to develop communication skills with special focus on the specific features of professional language, to enhance the acquired knowledge of grammar and vocabulary. The covered topics include food processing, drug production and administration, and properties of materials.

In order to receive the credit, it is necessary to pass the credit test and to deliver a presentation on a scientific topic.

The course is completed with an exam consisting of two parts. In the written part, 50% of correct answers are required to pass. In the oral part, students have to prove they are able to understand and discuss a scientific article presented to them.
