The subject is concerned with the structure and properties of the basic and widespread natural polymers (biopolymers), special attention is devoted to the industrially exploited natural polymers and their possible modification - polysacharides and their derivatives, lignin, polyterpenes, polyalkanoates, peptides, enzymes, nucleic acids.
Aim of the course -
Last update: Hladíková Jana (04.01.2018)

Students will be able to:

understand the classification of both natural and modified natural polymers - biopolymers

utilize gained information about the structure and properties of natural polymers

utilize basic data of biopolymers and modified biopolymers with industrial application in the field of polymer chemistry
