Annotation -
The course is focused on practical skills in the field of measurement and control techniques used in chemical and food industry today. During the semester, students will learn about the measurement and control of process variables such as temperature, pressure, level and flow, as well as the features and practical controls of the controllers, P, PI, PID, using the basics and practical applications of image analysis, basics of logic control and programming of simple programmable logic controllers, application of thermography and non-contact temperature measurement.

Learning outcomes -

The students will be able:

To know basic properties of controllers, P, PI, PID and possibilities of their practical use in the control of technological variables.

To create a simple program for a programmable logic controller Siemens Logo!

To evaluate the image by using tools for image analysis.

To know basic theory and applications of simple thermal imaging technology and contactless thermometers.

To know basic theory and application of semiconductor gas sensors.
