The lectures deal with the special chemical products designed for the final consumer. The fine chemicals or chemical specialties are pharmaceuticals, pesticides, fragrances, surfactants and colorants, and other products. The important factors of industrial syntheses of chosen compounds will be described together with basic structures and mechanisms of action. Ecological aspects of the production will be also included.
Aim of the course -

Students will be able to:

describe the chemistry application in different products

understand the basic principles of effects of fine chemicals and the basics of syntheses

describe the basics of industrial production and the use of the fine chemical categories

define the difference between the industrial production of fine and basic chemical
