Annotation -
The course is focused on natural polymers, their modifications and selected synthetic polymers which are applicable in medicine and pharmacy. A special attention will be given on biocompatibility and biodegradation of polymer materials and trends in application of polymers in controlled release and transport of drugs in body.

Aim of the course -

Students will be able to:

select polymeric materials suitable for specific applications in medicine and pharmacy,

characterize polymeric materials,

select procedures of surface modification related to target application,

explore liability of their applications.
