Laboratories are focused on gaining practical skills in the field of identification of natural samples, X-ray diffraction, solution of structures from the data measured on monocrystals, preparation of sorbents and geo-polymers from natural substances, decontamination technologies using sorption methods, evaluation of sorption capacity and sorption kinetics.

Students will be able to:
prepare sorbent based on hydrotalcite and clay mineral; measure and evaluate the sorption series and sorption kinetics for selected toxic contaminants; prepare geopolymer; determine the lattice parameters of single crystal and solve the structure on the basis of obtained data; measure the patterns with X-ray powder diffraction and solve the structure from powdered data.
