Annotation -
The course is an introduction to the use of process simulators in the refinery industry. It requires knowledge of basic chemical engineering and petroleum processing technology. Student will practice computer assisted simulation of chemical engineering problems using commercial software package (Aspen Hysys). Common tasks including separation of multicomponent mixtures, heat utilization etc. will be solved with respect to specific problems in refinery industry.
