The course covers the basic branches of physical chemistry: fundamentals of thermodynamics, state behavior, phase equilibria, chemical equilibria, selected behavior of systems containing electrolytes, the issue described the rate of chemical reactions and sipmle description of colloidal systems.

1. Basic concepts of thermodynamics system, thermodynamic process, thermodynamics variables. Equation of state of an ideal gas. Real gas and description of its behavior. 2. First law of thermodynamics, internal energy, heat, work, and their calculation. 3. Enthalpy, standard enthalpy of reaction, standard enthalpy of formation, Hess's and Kirchhoff's laws. 4. Second law of thermodynamics, entropy. Entropy calculation for proceses. 5. Helmholtz and Gibbs energy of their significance. Third law of thermodynamics. Chemical potential, activity, standard states. 6. Phase equilibria in one-component systems, Clapeyron equation. 7. Gibbs phase rule, vapor-liquid equilibrium in ideal systems, phase diagrams. 8. Solubility of gases in liquids, equilibrium in condensed systems. 9. Chemical equilibrium. Balance of a chemical reaction. Equilibrium constant. Ion balance. 10. Influencing the balance of chemical reactions. 11. Faraday's laws, galvanic cells, Nernst equation. 12. Basic concepts of chemical kinetics, simple reaction 13. Integration of kinetic equations, the dependence on temperature, catalysis 14.
