In the first five lectures, the students are acquainted on an advanced level with the general chapters of electrochemistry as a research tool for the study of redox reactions on the electrode in terms of thermodynamics, kinetics and mechanisms of chemical reactions. Here, important concepts, not commonly mentioned relationships and current contexts are explained and their physical significance is explained in detail. Particular emphasis is placed on inserting electrochemistry into context with other chemical disciplines and linking advanced knowledge of physical and general chemistry. The second part is followed by a state-of-art analysis of all the main recent electrochemical techniques and electroanalytical methods, a detailed explanation of their principle and a description of the possibilities of their use in various research fields of chemistry. It also includes an advanced qualitative evaluation of acquired data and curves and a progressive sub-interpretation of the results.
