Annotation -
Lectures are given only in odd years. Subject is composed of three modules, 8h each: 1. Modern methods of polymer characterization(Ing. Merna)-advanced method of polymer characterization and their principles, separation techniques, spectroscopy 2.Polymers in medicine and pharmacy (prof. Brožek)-application of natural and synthetic polymers and copolymers in medicine and pharmacy, polymers biocompatibility 3.Biodegradable polymers (Ing. Malinová)-mechanisms and evaluation of polymer biodegradation, ecotoxicity, application of selected polymers The subject follows up with the other subjects of Polymer Manufacture and processing technology program and increases the knowledge in special and perspective fields of polymer technology. Final test from all modules takes place in the last week of semester.
