Annotation -
The course focuses on gaining of theoretical skills in the issue of environmental sampling. Students will acquire basic knowledge of sampling program preparation, the processing of sampling plans to meet defined aims, security during sampling, modifications applied to samples, transport of samples and a variety of analytical limitations of sampling program reliability. This course represents a theoretical basis for further practical subject "Environmental Sampling: Laboratory" and is taught during the spring/summer semester. The course is closely dedicated to area of sampling solid materials, groundwater, surface water, wastewater, wastes and soil air. Students will become familiar with different sampling techniques and the most commonly used types of samplers. For successful completion of the course students have to meet the requirements of the written and oral part of exam.
