Annotation -
The aim of the subject is to give detailed information on metallic materials of technical importance. Information on important groups of steels, cast irons, as well as non-ferrous alloys, is given. Mechanical, physical and chemical properties of alloying systems are described. The application of equilibrium phase diagrams is emphasized. Another part of the subject is devoted to the detailed description of processing technologies of metals - casting, forming, cutting, welding, machining etc.
