Single crystals are advanced materials widely used in various fields, e.g., electronics, optics, data transmission and processing, radiation detection and measurement, etc. The course gives information about relations between composition, crystal structure and properties of various materials as well as applications of single crystals.

13. Synthetic gemstones for jewellery.

14. Preparation of single crystals for X-ray structure analysis.
