This course follows after the course Petroleum Technology I. Chemism of futher petroleum refining technologies, namely catalytic reforming and isomerization of gasoline fractions, production of gasoline components by alkylation and polymerization, is explained. Students become acquinted with idividual variants of these technologies and their developing trends, the catalysts used, reaction conditions and the products obtained. Then the attention is paid to properties of individual petroleum products and their utilization. In this context, the problematics of biofuels and other alternative fuels is presented. Students are acquinted with the production of biofuels, their properties and utilization as driving fuels in transport.
