Annotation -
The course covers basic gas treatment and processing technology used for utilization of flammable gaseous mixtures produced by thermochemical conversion of solid fuels (carbonization and gasification of coal and biomass). The course explains operation at different technological processes: cooling and heating, dedusting, chemical conversion, absorption and adsorption and shows its application for the removal of a wide number of undesirable compounds from gas before further material and energy utilization. The course includes basic calculations of gas treatment and purification processes.
