The course is focused on feed water treatment, especially water as a heat agent for power engineering, water for electroplating, electronic industries,foodstuff production, pharmacy and waste water treatment, too. The information about water corrosion activities, methods of problem elimination and analytical procedures for its identification is included.

Membrane processes for water desalination; electrodialysis. 9. Reverse osmosis , nanofiltration. 10. Ion exchange; properties and application of ion exchangers. 11. Operation of ion exchange column ; loading cycle, backwash, regeneration, rinse. 12. Ion-exchange unit processes : removal of (Ca+Mg) , dealkalinisation, deionisation. 13.
