Annotation -
Only DSP students who have not completed the M217016 Physico-chemical Methods of Wastewater Treatment course in Master's degree can register for this subject. This course deepens the student`s knowledge of the physico-chemical methods used in the wastewater treatment. Principles, design and operational parameters of state-of-the-art techniques are explained. Particular technologies are compared from the point of view of applicability for removal of various pollutants; their technical and economical requirements are discussed. The wastewater treatment techniques are illustrated with concrete examples. The scope of this course can be adjusted to the research orientation of a particular PhD thesis.
