Annotation -
This course is focused on a demonstration of strategies of individual parameters setting within the development and implementation of gas chromatography (GC) based methods applied for evaluation of food/natural products quality, chemical safety and/or authenticity. Attention is also paid to a monitoring of various contaminant groups transfer across food chain and assessment of human exposure. Modern injection techniques, the strategy of GC column as well as relevant detector (namely mass spectrometric) selection for a particular application is introduced. Principles of both target analysis and non-target screening are subject of discussion, including interpretation of generated data, approached of their quality assurance are focused, too.
