Annotation -
The course dedicated to Ph.D. students represents an overview of relevant key parts of advanced optics; the specific attention is focused on optical waveguides, resonators, principles of lasers and applied laser optics. Attention is paid to nonlinear optics, electro-optical and opto-acoustic phenomena. Current advances in photonics with respect to physico-chemical and material applications are annotated within the subject.Ph.D. students have to perform a critical evaluation of published papers.
