Students will be introduced to approaches to conservation and restoration of various types of heritage objects and collection items made of various materials. Ethical and technological problems of conservation and restoration will be presented on case studies that have been realized by leading contemporary restorers.

Students will gain an orientation in the conservation and restoration of monuments. An important output will be the knowledge of the diversity of material representation as well as the specifics and possibly the intermingling of conservation and restoration technology of individual materials.
