Annotation -
Microorganisms are found in all ecosystems, they represent the largest proportion of biomass on Earth. They have the properties, for which they are used in biotechnological processes. Knowledge of the cellular architecture and physiology and also all factors affecting their growth and reproduction is essential for their application. The object of the course is to introduce the possibility resulting in fixing (strengthening) of the used (biosynthesis, biodegradation, biotransformation) characteristics of the microorganism.

Aim of the course -

Students will be able to:

Participate in the design of the technological process with regard to the physiological properties of the organism. They will learn knowledge that will enable them to succeed in both the traditional and the newly developed field of biotechnology. Knowledge of cell physiology may also be used in the master's study program.
