Annotation
The course develops communication skills and vocabulary for students on the B2 CEFR level. Attention will be paid to vocabulary, grammar and functional language related to the field of economics, management, and business. The course focuses on developing all language skills including speaking, listening, writing, and reading. Covered topics include Performance and Rewards, Managing Feedback, Transparency in Business, Sales and Selling, Managing change. Project work is structured around modular themes such as Sustainability, Autonomous Support, Working with Data and Industry 4.0. Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to accurately use selected grammar and lexical units, write shorter texts, work with specialized texts, and manage information with different speakers. The course also develops students’ intercultural awareness and fosters autonomous learning.

Students can receive credits for the course if they:

1) Meet course attendance requirements

2) Submit a complete Course Portfolio

The course portfolio consists of two main sections: a) tasks completed throughout the semester based on the teacher’s instructions, and b) a short test

The course is completed with an oral exam.
