The aim of this subject is to provide information about the materials and technologies used in the automotive industry. The production and processing of steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, rubber, thermoplastics, glass and ceramic materials are mentioned. From the major technologies, the emphasis is on metal forming, welding, casting and heat treatment.
