Annotation -
The subject sets out to teach the students the specifics of journalistic practice in the context of scientific topics. The students will gain practical knowledge concerning the respective journalistic genres, as well as basics in photography; they will also be acquainted with the context of print and online media, the importance of social media and the characteristics of scientific newscast and popularization.

Aim of the course -

Absolvent of the subject will know the basics of the environment of scientific journalism.

Students will further know how to:

Write an interview

Write an article

Write a press release

All of the above including the ability to create supporting photographic content, along with basic knowledge of editorial and typesetting practice.

The outcome of the subject will be a printout magazine format made from the content created by the students in the course of the semester.

8. Photography and Photojournalism: camera operation, basic concepts of composition, common mistakes
