Annotation -
The methods used for water and wastewater analysis in laboratory are discussed in this course. The choice of methods is based on routine analytical practice. Students become acquainted with steps af analytical procedures, possible interferences, methods of sample pre-treatment, calculations and interpretation of results. Emphasis is also placed on understanding and practicing basic calculations used in solution preparation, data evaluation and results processing.

Aim of the course -

Students will know the determination methodology of common components of drinking, surface and sewage water and they will know the principles of all determinations. Students will know the procedure of each hydroanalytic determination and they will be able to calculate the results from the measured values, including the correct interpretation of the obtained results.

Course completion requirements -

Student´s knowledge is examined by a final test, which includes both theoretical questions and calculations.
