Annotation -
The subject follows and completes the basic undergraduate training in physical chemistry in terms of the utilization of the physical chemistry in advanced industrial applications. Emphasis is being put on thermodynamics and chemical kinetics with particular attention to energy storage and reaction engineering. The subject is intended for Ph.D. students who would like to enhance their knowledge of the field.

Aim of the course -

The students will learn to:

Use basic thermodynamic quantities and state functions to describe properties of pure compounds and mixtures, describe the state behaviour and phase equilibria in pure compounds and multicomponent mixtures, use thermodynamics to describe and design a thermal process.
