Annotation -
The course will introduce students to the production of hydrogen not only as a chemical, but also as a potential energy carrier for the hydrogen economy. The course will familiarize students with the production of hydrogen by chemical and electrochemical means. It will also present the issue of storing and transporting hydrogen, including safety risks.

Students will be able to:

describe the technology of hydrogen production from fossil fuels

describe the basic technology of hydrogen production from renewable sources

understand the issue of transport and storage of hydrogen

discuss the security risks associated with the production and transportation of hydrogen
