Annotation -
The subject Chemical Industry and Environment focuses on the protection of environment from the chemical-engineering point of view, namely concepts related to the environmental pollution problem, sustainability and industrial waste treatments in air and water media. Students will understand the basic wastewater treatment and gas cleaning technologies used to prevent environmental pollution problems. Further students will be able to orient themselfs in current legislation and regulation regarding environmental issues.

Aim of the course -

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Fluently use the concepts related to the environmental pollution problem, sustainability and industrial waste treatments in air and water media.
  • Understand the basic wastewater treatment and gas cleaning technologies used to prevent environmental pollution problems.
