Annotation -
The aim of the subject is to demonstrate the practical utilization of relationships, derived from classical mechanics of continuum, for the description and solving of problems connected with rheology of polymer melt in case of simple flow and basic geometry of converting device.

3. Flow in pipe.

4. Flow between two nonparallel plates and two rolls in relative motion.

5. Flow in single screw extruder.

6. Pressure profile in single screw extruder.

7. Mixing.

8. Rheological behaviour of selected polymers. Application.

9. Computer modelling.

10. Shear stress � shear rate � temperature distribution.

11. Mechanical behaviour of composites, stress-strain relation.

12. Experimental determination of limit stress and elastic constants.

13. Lamination techniques. Selection of resin and filament.

14. Destruction of laminate. Tsai-Hill theory.
