This course is designed for students at good intermediate/upper intermediate level (B1/B2). It is focused mainly on the key vocabulary used in the academic world but also includes general English reading, listening and speaking tasks.

Tento předmět je určen pro studenty se znaostí angličtinoy na úrovni B1 a B2 podle Sjednocenného evropského referenčního rámce. Předmět je zaměřen na zvládnutí klíčové slovní zásoby, používané v akademickém prostředí, společně s obecnou angličtinou ve všech jazykových dovednostech.

I. Adademic vocabulary

Comparing and contrasting, making connections, graph interpretation, numbers and numerical values, describing states and processes.

II. General English

Grammar revision (direct and indirect questions, the passive)

Ad hoc activities including speaking, reading and listening tasks.

I. Adademická slovní zásoba

Porovnávání, vyjádření vztahu, interpretace grafu, čísla a číselné hodnoty, popis stavu a procesu.

II. Obecná angličtina

Opakování gramatiky (přímé a nepřímé otázky, trpný rod)

Ad hoc aktivity zahrnující mluvení, čtení a poslech.

Students will be able to communicate within the academia.
