Annotation -
This subject requires experimental work in a laboratory. Students will learn experimental and/or computational methodologies related to the specified topic and develop a systematic plan, which will serve as a template for the experimental work. During the process, students will learn basic methods of collecting and processing experimental data, as well as evaluating and comparing the information obtained from the literature.

Syllabus -

The aim of the Applied Life Sciences Research Project II is for individuals to work on topics assigned by relevant supervisors. Students will acquire modern laboratory techniques, particularly in fields such as biotechnology, microbiology, cell physiology, bioengineering, and others.

The student, together with their supervisor, will prepare a work plan as a guideline for the upcoming laboratory experiments. The experimental results will be processed, evaluated, and compared with data available in the literature. The outcome of the experimental work will be a report written in the form of a scientific publication with the usual structure. It is necessary to adhere to all formal requirements regarding the scope of work, the structure of the text, tables, images, and literature citations. Students will also prepare an electronic presentation as a basis for the scientific defence before a committee of pedagogues.
