Annotation -
The essential part and focus is the relationship of microorganisms to the environment and the use of these dependencies and knowledge in technologies (water treatment, purification and technological applications). Specification of organisms present in surface and groundwater, treated and polluted waters, in growths, sediments and biofilms. The impacts of society on the ecological sustainability of biotopes are presented - eutrophication (toxins), drought, climate change. Emphasis is also placed on appropriate methods of sampling, determination (cultivation techniques, microscopy, molecular biology) of biotopes with regard to the use of bioindication. The application of organisms in ecological/biological assessment of the state of biotopes is presented (framework directive, risk analysis). Pathogenic and hygienically significant microorganisms. Good laboratory practice in connection with valid legislation is also presented.
