Annotation -
The course provides a systematic overview of the physiological mechanisms by which nutrition influences the functioning of the human organism. It focuses on digestion, absorption, metabolism and regulation of food intake, including the role of the nervous, endocrine and microbial systems. The teaching also includes the environmental context of nutrition, alternative nutritional styles and practical applications of nutritional physiology, including work with self-monitoring tools.
