Annotation -
The subject is concerned with mechanisms of degrading processes,induced in polymers by external surroundings action, defines causes of the degradation a principles of action and utilization of antidegradants.

3. Effects of oxygen and ozone, oxidation mechanisms

4. Antioxidants, antiozonants

5. Polymer combustion, flame retardants

6. Effects of light, photodegradation, photo-oxidation of polymers

7. Weathering (natural, artificial), light stabilizers

8. Effects of ionizing radiation

9. Chemical corrosion, physically and chemically active environments

10. Stress corrosion

11. Biological corrosion, biostabilizers

12. Mechanical degradation of polymers

13. Targeted degradation, plastics recycling, environmental and economic aspects

14. Physical and chemical recycling of plastics, feedstock and energy recovery
