Zápočet: minimálně 50 % z průběžného test, akceptovaná verze seminární práce

Zkouška: písemná část po úspěšném absolvování (zisk alespoň 50 %) následována ústní částí

Ústní část se nemůže konat bez úspěšného složení písemné části.

V případě neúspěchu u ústní části je nezbytné opakovat i písemnou část.

1. Principal goals and purposes of corporate financial management, its organization.

2. Financial statements, their system and meaning.

3. The structure of assets and capital of the company, determinants of their structure.

4. Sources of corporate financing, their availability, cost and dependence on the business life cycle.

5. Long-term capital financing and its structure, cost of capital, interest tax shield.

6. Impact of capital structure on profitability, financial leverage.

7. Combining operational and financial risk through operational and financial leverage.

8. Techniques and application of financial analysis.

9. Financial analysis – ratio indicators and their systems.

10. Financial analysis – advanced methods, EVA, DuPont analysis, rating, scoring, benchmarking.

11. Principles of capital budgeting, NPV, IRR, payback period, profitability index.

12. Dividends and their distribution.

13. Financial distress, symptoms and phases of crisis, possible solutions.

14. Sustainable growth of the firm, mergers and acquisitions.

Course completion requirements -

Assessment requirements: midterm test (pass limit 50%), submitted version of the seminar paper accepted by the teacher

If the midterm is not passed, the test can be retaken but the student has to score at least 60%. Students are allowed to resubmit their seminar paper (once).

Exam: Successfully completed written part (pass limit 50%) is followed by the oral part.

The oral part cannot take place without the successful completion of the written part.

If the oral part is not completed successfully, the student has to retake the written part as well.

Only students who obtained assessment (“zápočet”) can take the exam.
