Annotation
Intercultural communicative competence refers to the ability to understand cultures, including your own, and use this understanding to communicate with people from other cultures successfully. Therefore, the course deals with intercultural issues such as cultural awareness, values, attitudes, stereotypes and barriers, and miscommunication in communication. The course activities combine F2F and online intercultural, language and ICT skills development. The main language functions practiced include expressing opinions in different contexts, different standards of agreeing and disagreeing, making suggestions, giving and accepting advice, criticizing politely and clarifying matters. The approach is interactive. Students learn through practical activities, research, analysis, comparison, discussion, critical thinking and reflection.
