The course helps students gain a broad overview of the Czech culture and history and discover how major historical events still affect us today. Revealing the stories behind may encourage to take a second look and see new perspectives on how culture has interacted with politics and society. The course is structured around modular themes, including key milestones, eras, and personalities, running from architecture and technology to arts and customs. By the end of the course, students will be able to: • Demonstrate knowledge and basic facts in the international context. • Describe and illustrate examples of significant historical milestones and gems. • Analyze and appraise the Czech culture in context. The course is primarily designed for non-Czech students.
