Annotation
This course is to help students improve their communication in English for successful international business and social interactions. It has been designed to advance students in English up to a B2 level of CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference). The course focuses on strategies in communication for business students used in everyday, work and study abroad contexts. Furthermore, the students rehearse and practice authentic communication in real-life situations. Students are required to successfully complete Primer in Communication I.

Requirements to the exam

Active participation: As the course focuses on active communication, attendance is mandatory, and students can miss a maximum of 8 sessions total out of 56. Active participation also includes the preparation of homework. Two incomplete homework assignments count as one absence.

Journal speaking: Students are required to record themselves speaking for 2-4 mins on a weekly topic assigned by the teachers.

Presentation: Students will give a 5-minute presentation on the topic defined by the teachers.

Written report: Students will submit a 250-word report based on their findings from the media awareness sessions using the functional language.
