Annotation
This course provides the students with information about water use in industry, both in general and in specific industrial sectors: legislation concerning water management in industry, water use, water consumption, water quality requirements, wastewater (sources, composition, treatment), ways of water reuse/recycling and water demand reduction, etc. Different concepts and approaches are discussed. The students are introduced to the water management problems in the most water-intensive industries and agriculture.

describe and explain water management systems in industry - generally and in specific water-intensive industrial branches,

analyse and evaluate water management of an industrial plant,

propose an optimal solution for water management of an industrial plant.
