Annotation
The content of the class is focused on the unification of basic laboratory practice at UCT Prague. The course is mainly intended for students who have not completed the full range of laboratory education at the UCT Prague in the bachelor's degree and have not fully mastered the principles of work in the chemical laboratory. It is about tuning the basic laboratory knowledge and skills to a level suitable for the master's degree. Students will be introduced to the principles of work safety, basic chemical calculations, common laboratory equipment and basic laboratory procedures.

Aim of the course

Students will be able to use physical quantities in chemical practice and the proper using of SI units, to calculate different forms of expressing the composition of mixtures. Students will be able to work safely in a chemistry laboratory, to use common laboratory equipment and perform basic laboratory procedures.
