The course is designed for students of master's degree and is focused on practical application of advanced methods of physical chemistry.

Students will be able to:

use a range of high-end instruments and apparatuses of either commercial origin or ad hoc built by the Institute engineers to determine the different physicochemical properties of pure substances or compound mixtures.

1. Combustion calorimetry using the calorimeter Parr 1351.

2. Diffusion coefficent determination by the capillary method.

3. Fuel cell thermodynamics.

4. Surface tension measurements.

5. Density meter A. Paar and its applications - state behavior of liquids.

6. Differential scanning calorimetry - the calorimeter Thermal Analysis TA Q1000.

7. State behavior of ethan and evaluation of additional quantities.
