Syllabus

The aim of the course is to provide students with theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of modern and specific approaches to management - lean management. Students will gain knowledge for the practical implementation of lean management methods and then especially new skills in cooperation on a specific project in a partner company.

Students will be acquainted with the theoretical and practical possibilities of applying basic lean management methods, which are value stream mapping, 5S, SMED, TPM, waste identification and elimination, KATA management, strategic lean management, managerial skills, communication and continuous improvement.

Attention is paid especially to those approaches that are most often used in practice, including practical demonstrations and training using simulation games. Case studies and excursions are also included. Participants are also practically led on projects in partner companies with the aim of acquiring new skills in the implementation of lean management methods into real company processes.
