The aim of the subject is to provide students with the knowledge on broad topic consisting of metering, regulation and metrology in gas processing and distribution industry with focus on process and fiscal metering of gas flow and quality parameters. Second main topic is given to the recent trends and development in gas industry, for example the problematic of existence of hydrogen-natural gas mixtures in natural gas pipelines and appliances or implementation of modern technological or SW tools for optimizing gas grid operation.

After completing the course student will be familiar with the topic of metrology and metering in gas industry ranging from selection of appropriate method to designing and operating as well as with the utilization of the specific properties of different methods. Student will also understand the recent development and trends in modern gas industry, e.g. implementation of projects like Hythane, Power-to-Gas and other into the existing gas industry. Student will also deliver and defeat a technological project.
