Annotation -
The aim of the course is to learn the main types of adsorption materials, their characteristics, methods of production and typical fields of their use in technical practice. In addition, the students learn the basic types of adsorption equipment used for the cleaning and the separation of the gaseous and liquid mixtures in engineering practice, their modes of activity, the typical field of their use and other technical parameters. Students will also learn how to design the adsorption equipment for technical use, calculate the optimal size, choose the optimal working conditions and to estimate the operating and investment costs.

Aim of the course -

After finishing the course, students will know the basic types of adsorbents used in technical practice, their important characteristics that are decisive for the choice of the optimal adsorbent for each specific case, ways of production of individual types of adsorbents and their field of application. Next, you will know the basic types of adsorption equipment used in technical practice for cleaning or the separation of the gaseous and liquid mixtures, their working modes and optimal areas of use. Students will be able to design the adsorption equipment for individual specific cases and to be able to estimate their operating and investment costs.
