The aim of the subject is to present methods of processing and utilization of different types of waste. Technologies having potential of reducing amount of waste which has been landfilled as well as technologies maximizing recovery of valuable components from waste will be discussed in detail.

Have knowledge of various waste categories and types.

Decide which recycling method could be applicable for processing of chosen waste (metal, WEEE, building, glass, ceramics and polymer).

Have overview of legislation concerning waste issues.
