Substances versus organism - uptake of substances, barriers, absorption, distribution. 3. Biotransformation of substances, examples of biotransformation reactions of toxic substances. 4. Effects of substances, types and mechanisms of effects. 5. Investigation of toxicity, literature sources and experimental procedures. 6. Regulation of work with chemicals and SDS. 7. Toxicity, ecotoxicity and risks of inorganic substances. 8. Toxicity, ecotoxicity and risks of organic substances. 9. Abuse of chemical substances: chemical weapons and addictive substances. 10. Safety in chemical workplaces (main hazards, ways to minimize the risk). 11. Abiotic and biotic parts of the global ecosystem. 12. Biogeochemical cycles and streams of energy in nature. 13.
