The course focuses on the introduction of basic cosmetic raw materials, mainly surfactants, their physical chemical behavior and possibilities of analysis; of different forms of cosmetic products; of manufacture of liquid and emulsion cosmetic products; of legislative requirements in the manufacture of cosmetics and of effects of cosmetic products on the skin.

Předmět je zakončen zkouškou, která se skládá z písemného testu a ústní zkoušky. Zápočet student získá po vypracování individuálního projektu - zpracování protokolu k danému kosmetickému výrobku - rozsah 1 - 2 strany.
