The content of the course is an overview of physiological processes in the body that have a causal or consequential connection with human nutrition. The first part summarizes the knowledge about digestion and resorption of individual nutrients, the function of the digestive tract, the excretion of waste products and energy and nutrient balance. The general part focuses on eating disorders, alternative diets and nutritional epidemiology.
