1. Introduction: engineering and biological approach to problem solving (production of penicillin). 2. Basics of cellular biology. 3. Enzymes: classification, molecular structure, general characteristics and properties of enzymes. 4. Enzyme kinetics, kinetic models, determination of kinetic parameters. 5.
